This set of subitizing flashcards and game cards make use of a Rekenrek and ten frames to help students subitize numbers 1 - 20, recognize 6 - 10 as "5 plus something," 11 - 20 as "10 plus something," and learn combinations of 10.
The flashcards each have 2 questions to answer based on the image. The playing cards at the end can be used for matching or memory games to compare 1 - 10 and 11 - 20 with their words, numerals, ten frames, and Rekenrek images.
This is a digital copy of the flashcards and playing cards that are included in Framework Math Volume 1: Laying the Foundation, the first book in the workbook series entitled Developing Number Sense Using Ten Frames and a Rekenrek.
While these pages are included in the first volume, this file gives you the ability to print these flashcards on colored paper or cardstock and laminate them or use them however you wish, whether or not you are using the workbook.

These activities and puzzles help students develop number sense as they use ten frames and a Rekenrek to build their understanding of place value, compare 100 beads on a Rekenrek to U.S. money values, order and compare numbers based on place value understanding, compose and decompose numbers within 100, and more.
This set of worksheets corresponds to Volume 1, Unit 4 in the Framework Math workbook series and can be used as additional practice for the skills in that unit.
It can also be used as a stand-alone resource for students who are familiar with subitizing, composing, and decomposing numbers to 100 on a ten frame and Rekenrek.
This set includes 9 worksheets with 4 separate task card sections on each; these include review questions, puzzles, challenges, and other types of practice, with a complete set of answer keys.
Ten frame templates are also included for subitizing to 10, 20, and 100. (Mini ten frames with all values are included for composing numbers on the large 100 ten frame.)

This set is useful for review of multidigit multiplication models. It contains 5 anchor charts, 4 mini interactive flipbooks, and a template that compares all 4 models at once for continual skill practice.
The mini flipbooks can be made into an all-in-one summary sheet. The models include an area models (with grids and boxes), decomposed form (distributive property), partial products, and the traditional US algorithm.
All pages here are included in the Framework Math Volume 4: Multiplication book, which provides much more context and practice - but these pages can also be used as a stand-alone resource.

These graphic-novel style word problems are similar to numberless word problems in that they help students focus on figuring out the scenario and asking their own questions about the pictures so that they are more intrinsically motivated to find the answers. These are designed to help students think more carefully and deeply about Math, rather than taking a โplug and playโ approach to solving word problems.
Each Math Mystery is presented as a โstory stripโ with a few words and pictures that are open-ended. Students are invited to fill out โI notice โฆโ and โI wonder โฆโ prompts as they look at the story.
Most of the time the โI wonderโ questions will lead naturally to the intended question, but if students think of other Math Mysteries to solve along the way, they are free to do that as well. Sometimes one story strip may lend itself to 3 different questions!
There is space on each answer sheet to draw out an answer, write a sentence about it, and write an equation that goes with the picture.

This set contains flashcard style multiplication strategy flipbooks with a focus on conceptual understanding using an area model for each of the single-digit facts from 2 through 9. (This set does not include facts for the โx1โ or โx10โ facts.)
The first two pages of this file are cards that use a symbol, words, and numbers to explain a strategy that can be used for each set of multiplication facts. (There are a variety of strategies that may be used for any given fact, but this set focuses on these strategies that are largely built around doubles.)
The first page of each flip book shows a strategy symbol with an explanation on the back of the cover page. (These symbols are based on the idea that a single star represents the โtimes 1โ strategy, since anything times 1 is itself.)
The tab on each page of the flipbooks displays a fact in that set. These follow the order that the facts are presented in the Multiplication book (again, with a strong emphasis on using doubles as a basis for multiplication strategies.) The front side of each page shows a grid area model colored in red and white to match the beads on a Rekenrek. The product is on the back of each page.
